![]() Although some of these series don’t follow these cliches entirely, though they still have them one way or another. Blank slates are about as relateable as a slice of Wonder Bread. ![]() The average boy is getting lame and they’re hardly easy to relate with since they’re mostly blank slates. With that aside though, I also see a lot of visual novels with poorly written, generic characters, half assed stories and uninteresting protagonists. I’ll leave a download here for you guys if you want to check it out, it’s well worth your time (and it’s free!): I love it when characters are written with a strong sense of humanity and realism, especially when tackling the subject it does. ![]() Just when I thought I had them figured out I was surprised at each corner (most of the time). Katawa Shoujo is phenomenal and actually surprised me on how well written it’s characters were. Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t outright hate visual novels by any means. ![]() Painted backgrounds, text panels and lots of character models with little to no animation. Visual novels are pretty self explanatory, they’re narratives with visual aids. This time, I’m gonna discuss the strange state of anime series that are based off of visual novels and dating sims, mostly because of my next review on one of these types of anime, Yosuga no Sora. I don’t really mind if people don’t read but I just feel like writing because I like displaying my thoughts in written words.
